The Hyack Festival Association and the Totem Model A&T Ford Club present the 30th Annual Hyack Easter Antique Car Parade taking place on Easter Sunday, April 4th, 2010 in New Westminster. This event is proudly sponsored by RIVER MARKET.
If you love antique or vintage cars like Model As and Ts, Auburns, Lincolns, Packards, Cords, Grahams and Buicks then you should definitely come out to view the antique cars.
The cars will be on display on the Front Street Parkade in Downtown New Westminster from 10AM before departing for the parade through historic New Westminster at noon sharp. Enjoy the entertainment presented by the Dixieland band, the Fouruvus, and chat with the car owners and our 2010 New Westminster Ambassadors.
Always free to the public, the annual nostalgic drive with close to 150 vintage vehicles will wind its way through the heritage districts of New Westminster to Queen's Park. The parade route will see the vehicles led by the fully-restored New Westminster Police Service 1949 Nash and the New Westminster Fire Service 1929 Mack Fire Truck onto Columbia Street at MacKenzie, proceed east to 4th Street where they will u-turn and head west on Columbia Street to 12th Street, go north to 6th Avenue, then east to 2nd Street, south to 3rd Avenue and into Queen's Park where you and your family can celebrate Easter in the Park. Highlights include the petting farm, crafts, face painting, Hop along Bunny Trail activity, croquet & Frisbee golf games, photos with Easter Bunnies and family entertainment at the Bandshell organized by New Westminster Parks, Culture and Recreation.
Everything goes rain or shine.
